Alejandro Miranda Cruz

Alejandro Miranda is an Indigenous-Latino photographer, filmmaker, and National Geographic Explorer dedicated to sharing diverse stories with dignity and authenticity. He collaborates with tribal nations, nonprofits, and educational institutions to amplify marginalized voices. Currently, Alejandro is producing a documentary film on the Menominee people's fight to restore Lake Sturgeon to the heart of their reservation. Since 2022, he has also documented several initiatives in tribal communities across the Midwest and Southwest to address health disparities. His first feature documentary, "Sacred Wisdom. Sacred Earth," is a three-year endeavor documenting Indigenous ancestral knowledge from the Woodland Peoples of the Midwest to address the 21st century's most pressing issues. Through his work, Alejandro strives to create impactful stories that inspire action and foster a deeper understanding of our shared humanity."
