Kiera Williams
Kiera Williams is a purpose-driven filmmaker and alumna of the Moving Picture Institute's Hollywood Career Launch Program and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Gold Program. Raised across four states and twelve cities, her diverse background has shaped her identity as a representative of America’s rich tapestry. Known for fearlessly exploring life’s complexities, her work delves into grief, mental health, reconciliation, and spiritual freedom. She participated in the Soho House Creative Mentorship Program and was selected for the Oxford Centre for Fantasy Writing Fellowship in 2022. In 2023, she completed a screenwriting fellowship with Martin Blueberry. She has worked on award-winning projects, including roles as Assistant Director on bilingual international films ALONE ALONE ALONE ON A WIDE WIDE SEA and KEY LIME PIE. She was a featured speaker at the inaugural Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles, where she discussed her upcoming short film, GLASS. Williams previously worked at the Academy of Motion Pictures, where she championed underrepresented filmmakers through the Academy Gold social channels. As a storyteller, her goal is to prompt audiences to reflect deeply on their lives and purposes.
